Holt cottage is a comfortable place to escape to for a relaxing, romantic break.This west facing cottage overlooks the river and has views towards Kit Hill. A lovely rural location set in the hamlet of Horsebridge on the banks of the River Tamar which is the border between Devon and Cornwall.

Walk the 150 metres to the traditional village pub, The Royal Inn past the historic bridge over the Tamar and stop to catch a glimpse of the abundant wildlife and if your lucky spot the otters playing under the bridge.

The pub will set you up with lunch and dinner , fine ales and good wines as well as good conversation. The landlord Gary can give you all the info you need to know on where to go and what to do in the area.

Horsebridge is located in West Devon, 15 minutes drive to the historic market town of Tavistock on the edge of Dartmoor National Park.

Gary and team are just around the corner from the cottage .Open Tuesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner, providing homecooked food, traditional real ales and great wines served in convivial surroundings.

Dogs welcome in the village bar.

We are a 4 x 4 off road driving and countryside activity centre located in the beautiful Tamar Valley. Our 50 acre woodland is perfect for all of our activities including: 4 x 4 off road driving, professional BORDA driver training, competitive trials driving, blindfold driving, archery and clay pigeon shooting. We are the perfect centre to take care of corporate entertainment, individual drives, wedding parties, birthday gifts, group entertainment and much more!

Horsebridge is located between Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor, ideal for long walks, horseriding, fishing.

The Tamar forms the boundary between Devon and Cornwall and Horsebridge is central to both north and south coasts.

Plymouth: historical maritime city to the south can be reached by car in 30 minutes or by train from Gunnislake.

Great Waterfront restaurants around the Barbican or sit and watch the ships come and go from the Hoe. Brittany ferries departs Plymouth to Roscoff and Santander.

Tavistock is a bustling market town with many independent shops and cafes. Public swimming pool is located in the Meadows public park alongside the River Tavy, where you will also find the skate board park and bmx tracks. Tennis courts and bowling green overlook the canal where the ducks are waiting to be fed. Wharfside cinema and arts centre are nearby providing many live music acts.
